Pick, Watch, Instantly. On Demand (OD) is the new way of enjoying entertainment. OD by Astro enables Malaysians to personalize their TV viewing experience where they can pick and choose their favourite shows from a rich choice of content including the latest and the biggest box office movies and complete seasons of TV series and watch instantly on multi screens.

How can I enjoy On Demand feature?
- On Demand is only available on Astro PVR box and Ultra Box. It is not available for HD boxes or legacy Astro box.
- Internet connection is required to obtain video on demand content. Connect either WiFi or LAN cable to your PVR or Ultra Box to get started.
- Minimum 5Mbps and above of Internet connection is required.
To determine if your PVR box has built-in WiFi
Look for WiFi logo at the right side of your PVR decoder. If you see the WiFi logo, it means your decoder is WiFi enabled PVR decoder, manufactured by either Samsung or Pace.
Using previous version of PVR decoder (DMT 4) or HD box?
Astro WiFi dongle
You can order a Wi-Fi dongle and install it on your own. SMS or call Astro to order the dongle for FREE*. The dongle will be delivered to your billing address within 7 working days.

Note: A fee of RM50 will be charged to your next bill if you do not connect your free Wi-Fi dongle to your PVR and home Wi-Fi to download an OD title within 30 days receipt of the dongle.
Once you received your dongle, please follow the steps as below:
Flip the antenna and plug in the Wi-Fi dongle into the front USB port of your PVR.
As soon as you do this, a prompt will appear stating “Do you wish to connect to a wireless Network?”, select ‘Yes, continue’.
Choose your home Wi-Fi network and enter your network key (password) if required. Once connected, the icon will appear on the screen
Tip: Use your Astro Remote to key in your password using the alpha-numeric, similar to the old SMS format.
Now you are ready to download and enjoy On Demand Entertainment. Press ‘Home’ > Select ‘On Demand’ and browse through the categories.

Would like to upgrade to the latest PVR box that has built-in WiFi instead?
To upgrade to the new PVR with build in WiFi, you need to make sure your 24 months PVR contract period has over. Otherwise, you will have to pay prorated penalty charge for defaulting on the current contract. If the contract has over, Astro can assist to upgrade the decoder for you with installation charges.
Do note that you are not able to transfer your recorded programmes from your existing PVR box to new PVR box if you choose to upgrade your PVR set-top-box. Hence, your 24 months contract will be restarted.

Using Astro HD set-top-box?
On Demand does not work on HD set-top-boxes. You will have to upgrade to Astro PVR box to enjoy On Demand.
If you already subscribed to HD-PVR Service, then you are eligible to upgrade to PVR box with no additional monthly charges.
