"Astro on the Go" has been relaunched and now will be known as Astro Go. To celebrate the occasion, all Astro subscribers (excluding NJOI) will be able to access everything that Astro Go offers, including all 71 live channels, over 23,000 on-demand content from Hollywood, Korea, Japan, China, Hong Kong and India, and also live sports from 1 April to 31 May 2017 for free, excluding Pay Per View (PPV) and premium ala-carte sports content. After almost five years Astro on the Go was launched back in 2012, Astro on the Go service has relaunched and will now be known as Astro Go. The enhanced Astro Go now has a new user interface which is sleeker and intuitive to use with more relevant and personalised content surfaced for each individual viewer. Non-subscribers can download and use Astro Go app but only be able to access limited content.
As of now, there are 3 channels that are exclusive to Astro Go only, which are Aniplus, Comedy Central Asia, and K-PLUS. These 3 channels will eventually make their way to subscribers’ TV screen although the company didn’t reveal the actual date for it to happen. Subscribers will also able to enjoy the award-winning musical La La Land through Astro Go for free from 25 April to 31 May. Also, Astro customers are now able to enjoy the service of up to 4 devices simultaneously (previously only 2) from a single Astro STB subscription. For sports fan, Astro is working to provide interactive features including multiple camera angles, instant replays, video highlights, statistics, and many more. The company is also planning to add social and e-commerce elements into AG in the near future. |
