Having technical issues or difficulties with your Astro service? No satellite signal? Astro box could not boot up?
From 13 October 2017, a fee of RM65.00 (incl. GST) will be charged for site visit service fee for Astro boxes where the warranty period has over, which is an increase from RM53 (incl. GST). The servicing and maintenance of these boxes will be carried out by Astro authorized third party service providers and the fee is payable directly to them, instead of being charged on your next Astro bill.
Installation warranty is for 6 months, while decoder warranty is for 12 months. After warranty expires, a service charge of RM 65 will be charged. You will have a warranty for 3 months and no charge will be charged if you are still experiencing the same issue within 3 months from the date the report is sent.
Prior to this since June 2014, a "Technical Service Fee" of RM53 will be imposed should customers require site visit service such as to solve its technical issues faced. However, should customer's Astro subscription fee is RM100/month and above, the technical service fee will be waived. In other words, RM53 technical service fee will be charged should the customer's subscription fee is lower than RM100/month.
The revision of site visit fee applies to all Astro customers that is subjected to warranty period, no longer determining the subscription rates as before.
Astro is giving complimentary access to all TV and Astro Go channels, from 3 Nov 2017 to 19 Nov 2017, except Astro First/Best channels, Astro Cricket, Setanta Sports, WWE Network, and other selected premium pay-per-view channels.
